MacOS X uses the extension and file typesettings to choose the application when opening a file in Finder, whileSafari and other applications use the URL and MIME type settings atother times for content not related to a file (such as an unknown URLprotocol, or a media stream).
RCDefaultApp also allows setting the application when digital cameras orFireWire webcams such as iSight are connected to the computer. Forcompleteness' sake, there are also settings that mimic the existing 'CDsand DVDs' preference pane, which allows setting the action to take whenvarious types of CDs and DVDs are inserted into the computer.
RCDefaultApp also allows entries to be disabled, such as URL schemes that have security issues.

tcpflow 1.5.0tcpflow is a program that captures data transmitted as part of TCP connections (flows),and stores the data in a way that is convenient for protocol analysis or debugging.
